This day was picture perfect from the second the bridal party arrived at the ceremony.

After weeks of coastal clouds, the weather totally cleared up and it was a picturesque Dana Harbor kind of day.

Kyle & Tess choose a wonderful location for their ceremony. Heritage Park is a quiet and lush park that overlooks The Dana Point Harbor. It was a great place to get married on a nice summer day.

The Coordinator for the event was Jill Watson from The Pampered Bride. It was the first time I had the chance to work with her and it was a wonderful experience! She had everything moving smoothly and even had some overzealous looky loos to deal with during the ceremony. She handled it perfectly.

My Partners in crime for the day were Photographers Louis & Erin Palos from Palos Studios. I had a blast working with them. Their attention to detail was something to be admired & I loved to see a husband and wife team that works so well together.

Atmosphere Entertainment was fantastic and really made the reception into a party. They played some really good music and some unique mashups that I have never heard before.

It was great atmosphere in the Dana Point Yacht Club. Surrounded on all sides by windows looking out into the harbor waters and watching the sunset from the head table was a nice touch. Excellent design and details by Jill Watson.

Marcia Johnson did an amazing job on the flowers. Check her out here at www.marcialjohnson.com

Congratulations to Kyle & Tess!!

There was a sense of Joy and Energy in the air throughout the event.

The highlight of the event was an inpromptu mashup of the first dance song. The Bride & Groom surprised the guests with a dance planned only a day or 2 in advanced. The guests definitely got their money's worth. Amazing Day and well put together event by Pala Mesa Resort.

Digital Media has begun to take over the way we consume and experience our content.

One of my favorite things to do is use my personal mobile device to show prospective clients my work. Now you can do the same. Not only does it make it easy to show off your special day to your friends you come in contact with, but it makes it easier to host your video highlights from your wedding on your favorite social networking platform. Share it with family across town or across the world online!

Here's how it works:

On all DVD and Bluray packages I will include a folder on the disc that has all highlight videos from your wedding day in a digital file format.

All you need to do is tell me the device of your choice. That's it!

Here are some of the devices we will offer.

All Apple Handheld Devices including

iPod

iPod Touch

iPhone

iPad

Apple TV

All Android Handheld Phones

Blackberry

Windows Mobile

Zune

and ALL other multimedia Phones, MP3 Players and Tablets.

And of Course. This is included FREE in addition to all DVD and Bluray copies.

Just a little extra "perk" to my peeps.

This was an incrediblely creative themed wedding put on by Amorology Weddings.

Josh & Nicole met playing baseball on a team in San Diego. The theme for their wedding day reflected that common love. Heather and team put on a great event and the couple and their guests seemed to enjoy it. Take a gander at a brief sample of this baseball themed wedding. Photography for the day was provided by John Schnak at http://www.schnackstudios.com/

One of which is the build out of a medical facility here in Aliso Viejo. Well, before you can build, you have to demolish!

This was a fun one. I set up 2 Canon G11 Cameras mounted in the corners of each end of the building with timers set to snap a picture every 2 minutes. The Cameras are equipped with Eye-fi wireless cards so that as each picture is taken the image is transferred to Flickr as well as to my computer across town. This make the cameras self sustained and no unloading and remounting cameras is necessary.

It's been fun getting it all figured out. The cameras have been shooting for a month and have 3 more months of shooting to go while the building is renovated. But here is a 48 Time lapse of the Demolition of the existing building. Enjoy.

Vegas is one of those towns where there is so much happening and so many wierdos and creatures eveywhere you look. I'm usually not a big fan. But this night while out with my new DSLR in hand I decided I would look for those moments and those images that are often looked past in a town like vegas. I was crossing a bridge when I heard music coming from down the way. It sounded decent so I decided to take a look. I set up my camera and started to record. Feeling a bit like a creep I threw a few bucks in his case to loosen him up about the idea of me filming him.He started singing and it wasn't bad. I have heard too many horrible musicians in the street, but he was actually talented. I often wonder why the music industry is so wrapped up with American Idol and these fabricated ways of finding talent. It really is all around us. We usually dismiss it and move along. Glad I didn't....

While editing their video I have been reminded how fun it was to shoot with Heidi & Jesse. The name of the song they picked out fits them perfect. It's called "Smile" They are so down to earth and photogenic. It was a pleasure capturing the day for them. I also have to give props to a good friend Lisa Webb and her partner in crime Melissa for making the day even more enjoyable. They do great photography! Check it out here. This was shot in San Diego at the LDS Temple.

Editing these pieces makes me want to shoot more & more! If you know a friend getting married, send 'em my way. Our referral program is still in effect!

One of my favorite parts of a wedding to capture are the moments just prior to a Bride & Groom first seeing each other on their wedding day. There is a sense of calmness, yet anticipation. Excitement, yet peacefulness.

Each time it is magical.. The most geniune emotions stem from these moments. As the Bride prepares by touching up her makeup, or putting on that handpicked necklace or earrings, It is then that real emotion comes out and I love to capture it and have that privilege.

Rebecca + Jayant

Rebecca & Jayant's wedding was incredible. It was a perfect blend of the Bride & Groom's heritage and Faith and done so seamlessly and with STYLE! Heather from Amorology did an amazing job with the colors and the theme for the wedding. It's hard to choose favorite's but Jayant & Rebecca were one of my favorite couples to work with. He is a brain surgeon in La Jolla and she is an RN.Talk about a smart couple!
